AMBITION CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Ambition Championships were set up in 2016 to provide an alternative race series for the clubs & academies based in the more Eastern part of the Alps - Austria in particular. Our Championships cater for a variety of age groups from U10 upward and are recognized as part of the British Alpine Seeding System (BASS) to make them eligible for British ranking points. The races are always held in early January, either on the race slopes of Leogang itself OR on local race hills within close proximity to our Leogang base.

The races are easy to get to with Salzburg, Innsbruck & Munich all within close driving distance. The hotels in Leogang itself and the surrounding area are comprehensive, with 3*'s right the way through to 5s* so there really is something for everyone. For those athletes & parents looking to make a trip out of the races, Leogang is part of the now largest ski area in Austria - the Ski Circus - of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang, Fieberbrunn, with other resorts such as Zell am See also local, so there is more than enough skiing to be done in the region.

The Ambition Championships program is traditionally 2x Slalom & 2x Giant Slalom races held over four consecutive days, with U10's & U12's doing variations of the standard slalom or GS. There is also a team element to the competition for the overall 'Club Cup' & where possible a night time dual event to come too.

We look forward to seeing many faces new and old over the coming years to take part in the Ambition Championships
