So the fastest athletes today were Rachelle Rogers and Paul Henderson in the girls and boys races respecitvely. But the Ambition guys gave it a damn good shot and i am really happy with how they are progressing.
The girls trials were fought out at the front by Rachelle Rogers and Alice MacAulay with Rachelle winning the timing by 0.01 of a second!!! Unbelievably close and very exciting! Violet Miller and Beth Widdup took 5th and 8th respecitvely - both Ambition girls skied hard but could not challenge the top 3 today.
The boys race switched leaders on the first and 2nd run, with Paul Henderson initially leading the way before Max Moss sneaking him by 0.03 on run 2. Kieran Norris lay in 3rd place just 0.22 seconds behind Max going into run 3 with Barney close behind Kieran.
Kieran pushed the boundaries with nothing to lose but it was not to be as a mistake ended his chances with a DNF on run 3, but holding onto 3rd place overall. Max could not better his 2nd run charge and Paul laid down the run of the day to win the 3rd run by nearly 1 second and set the fastest time of the day.
All in all the guys skied hard and workewd hard in the training after the trials again. In just the few days they have been here there have been improvements. We are on the right track and closing the gap.
Performance of the day has to go to Kieran Norris who loked like a different skier compared to yesterday, really upped his game for the trials and looks very promising for the future.
