Instead though, there was a final prize giving for overall/team awards which proved to be quite a haul for the Ambition Children’s Team. Firstly, we came joint-second in the team competition with the Scottish Ski Club, something we weren’t expecting at all, and something which wasn’t a bad effort considering we only had twelve guys racing, not all of which finished every race!

After that though, it seems the hard work Anna Henderson has put in over the last six months has started to be recognized much more widely, with her being presented with the Ladies Ski Club award for a female childrens athlete at the BARSC who performs exceptionally!

So congratulations once again to Anna for her medal haul this week, along with Will Wheeler and Sarah Glasgow for their medals also. But most importantly, congratulations to all of the Ambition team, every single one of which gave it their all this week and did us coaches proud! There were some great performances by all, but more importantly, we’ve got a great group of kids this year with a great atmosphere within the team both on and off the hill. We’re looking forward to getting back out after the Christmas break for the Anglo Scottish to build on what we’ve started here.

So all that’s left to say is have a very Merry Christmas from all at Ambition!
