Benn Hall

Benn Hall

Year at Ambition: 1st

Position: Ambition Children's Team Coach

Coming fresh out of his degree in Politics at Newcastle University, Benn is the latest addition to the Ambition setup. Benn joins the team having been a successful skier himself in his day, with English, Scottish and British Alpine championship titles all under his belt from his early years in FIS racing. Throughout his racing years from the age of 12 to 18, Benn was consistently one of the top British racers of his age and was no stranger to the heights of success in British skiing. Having been a member of both the British Childrens and England Alpine Junior teams, Benn has both the experience and the knowledge of what it takes to reach the highest echelons of ski racing.

Having chosen to go to university instead of the British Development team, Benn decided to invest this knowledge and experience into his coaching, and has done his first Canadian coaching qualification along with the Level 3 UK Snowsports performance coaching award. Last year, Benn also began the Level 4 qualification, the aim of which is to develop national team coaches. Building on his many years of ski racing himself, combined with his recent years of coaching development, Benn will be striving to build on the already fantastic achievements of the Ambition children’s team to make the 2011/2012 season even better still.
