Ali Kuwall

U16 COACH

Ali is joining the Ambition coaching team after gaining many years of experience as a race coach, instructor and fitness coach. He will take on the role as the lead U16 coach, as well as overseeing and advising on the U14 and U12 programs.

Ali is a fully certified BASI ISIA Level 3 instructor, a qualified SAQ fitness coach and also a fluent German speaker. However, what impresses us the most about Ali is the vast experience that he has in the world of ski racing - he has coached many young Austrian's in the past years who have gone on to have great success, he has worked as an instructor at the Hugo Nindl Olympia Schischule, and in the most recent years Ali has been the Head Coach for a successful ski academy.

Jon Reidy

U14 / U12 COACH

Jon coaches with the team on a part-time basis both overseas and within the UK, mainly during competition periods. He is responsible for the developmental work of our U12 & U10 athletes and occasionally some of our U14 skiers too.

Jon is a fully qualified Level 3 (IVSI) coach who has a wealth of experience in both snow and domestic training programs. As the head coach for both Welwyn & Hemel Ski Racing clubs, Jon has regular contact with many of our trainees within the UK. This helps keep continuity with our athletes even when they are not out on snow with the team. Jon runs parts of the Ambition UK program too, leading our monthly weekend sessions at Welwyn & supporting our school holiday camps & training days around the county throughout the summer months.

Ella Still

U14 / U12 COACH

Ella has joined the coaching staff having completed the L2 UKCP as well as L2 BASI instructor modules. Ella will be working alongside Ali Kuwall with our U16 team to enable flexibility within the program – specifically during splits of training. It will be Ella & Ali’s task to make sure the younger U16’s get enough developmental work, whilst ensuring the more senior athletes in the group are involved in FIS training sessions.

Ella will also take on much of the physical programming and development of the group as they prepare for FIS level.
